Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders' First Lady is the debut album of Philadelphia born rapper Eve. The album was released September 14, 1999 on Ruff Ryders Entertainment and Interscope Records. It is the first album in history by a female rapper to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 . It sold 213,000 copies in the first week.[3] The album has sold over 2 million copies (according to Soundscan) and is certified Double Platinum.[4] The album features singles such as "Gotta Man," and "Love Is Blind" with Faith Evans. All of the songs on the album were written by Eve herself.
